The 1968 classic Planet of the Apes, based on the french novel of the same title (that for some reason was originally retitled Monkey Planet in English) captured the imaginations (blog) of the moviegoers 44 (blog) years ago - Does it still hold up today, or has time rendered it near unrecognizeable?
